It’s been raining for weeks, now I have spots all over my lawn. What are they and what should I do?
There are a several diseases that thrive in wet weather in our area. Leaf Spot disease is a fungus that loves cool wet weather. It’s not only found in your grass but in your garden as well. To keep plant injury to a minimum, pick up lawn clippings to avoid spreading the leaf spot fungi, mow higher to avoid plant stress, avoid watering in the evening. If it’s been raining, don’t add additional water. We try not to recommend fungicides unless they are needed. Most of the fungus we experience will stop once the weather changes.
