Mushrooms are a fungus that feed on organic material and loves wet and cloudy weather.  The spores are always in your soil but need the right conditions to emerge. 

The good news is that your soil is healthy, and mushrooms can help breakdown the thatch!  Once the sun comes out, they should go away on their own but if you don’t like the look, you can always knock them down. 

Since there really is no bad news to mushrooms, except maybe the look, we usually do not treat them. However, please call the office if mushrooms persist through sunny, dry weather and we’ll help diagnose the problems!
